Activated Carbon Filter

Product Introduction:
Activated carbon filter is a more commonly used water treatment equipment. As the pre-treatment equipment, it can absorb residual chlorine in the water, improve the water quality, and extend the service life of the subsequent equipment, especially to prevent free chlorine pollution in reverse osmosis membranes and ion exchange resin. Also it can adsorb polluting substances such as small molecular organic matter in water, which has a significant adsorption and removal effect on odors, colloids, pigments, heavy metal ions, etc., reduces COD.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               
Filter Working Principle:
Activated carbon is a very small carbon particle with a large surface area, and there are more fine pores in the carbon particle-the capillary. This capillary has a strong adsorption capacity, and because of the large surface area of the carbon particles, it can fully contact with water. When the impurities in the water hit the capillary tube, then they are adsorbed; in addition, there are some oxygen-containing tube groups on the non-crystalline part of the activated carbon surface, so that organic pollutants in the water are effectively adsorbed when passing through the activated carbon layer. The activated carbon adsorption function has saturation value, when it is reached, the adsorption function will be greatly reduced. Generally, the activated carbon needs to be replaced after 6-12 months or disinfected and restored by high-pressure steam.
